    I agree. I don’t get along with lecturers who fall back on ‘umm’ for every few seconds of thought.

    Do you think you could say ‘umm’ one more time. So unprofessional to use uncoloquial terminology during a lecture to college students. If I had a beer for every ‘hmm’ I’d be drunk off my ‘tail’.
